A microlight is a small, light aircraft whose maximum take off weight doesn’t exceed 450 kg. Modern equipment and teaching methods mean that learning to fly a microlight aircraft has never been more straightforward.
Some microlights are virtually indistinguishable from light aircraft to the casual observer. The main difference with all microlights is that they are relatively cheap to purchase, maintain and learn to fly.
Microlight Lessons
A microlight licence is simpler to get than a conventional aircraft licence. It typically requires less flying time and can substantially reduce the cost of getting your licence when compared to the general aviation route.
When you consider that microlights can take off and land from almost any flat area of land, you can see why they appeal to people wanting a relatively straightforward route into powered aviation.
Micro light Types
At Airways Airsports we offer full courses and conversions on the most modern varieties of both the major types of microlight; Flexwing and Fixed wing.
